Kabuki Tricks Board Game Family Game
Rp375.0002–5 Players
Play Time 20–30 Min
Suggested Age 10+
It’s showtime in Kabuki Tricks, with players becoming producers of Kabuki performances in which the quality of showmanship depends on the number of tricks to be won. The game is played over a number of rounds, with each player having a chance to play as the dealer. Each round plays out as follows:
• Each player gets a hand of a joker and seven random cards, which come in four actor suits. The dealer then arranges the separate actor cards in order to determine the rank of the suits, while also determining whether low or high cards are best.
• The dealer leads to the first trick, and all players must follow suit, if possible — except that one non-lead player can play their joker instead of matching suit. When someone plays a joker, they place one of their player cards face down above one of the actor cards; their player card is a bet that they will win 1, 2, or 3 tricks, and the actor they played above is a bet that their final card will be that color. Additionally, they can either flip the High/Low card to affect which numbers are best or swap two adjacent actor cards to change the rank of the suits.
• Whoever played the highest/lowest card in the highest rank wins the trick, then leads to the next trick.
• After seven tricks, players reveal their bets and score: 1 point per trick captured, 1 or 2 points for correctly bidding the number of tricks they won, and 1 point if their final card matches the actor card they chose. Alternatively, if a player’s last card is their joker and they won zero tricks, they earn 5 points.
The player with the highest score after adding the scores from each round wins.
Intent to Kill Board Game + Upgrade Pack
Rp1.260.0002–4 Players
Play Time 60 Min
Suggested Age: 16+
Intent to Kill is a thrilling detective noire game in which you will find yourself in the middle of a police investigation. You can take the role of a notorious serial killer, while the other shall become an experienced detective following the tracks of a criminal.
The game is different for each of these roles: the murderer has to plan every step while hiding their motive; the detective has to collect evidence and question witnesses — but not all of them are truthful…
A new murder is committed each round. The detective can move around the blocks and question civilians that might have useful information. The murderer can intimidate civilians to stall the investigation. The game ends after the fifth murder.
Use your actions and abilities efficiently, the detective has to find the murderer among civilians and determine their motive by analyzing the murders. If the detective fails, the murderer wins.
The game allows for many ways to enrich gameplay — when you get comfortable with the basic rules you can combine different motives, add new components and play through scenarios. Once you have enough practice, you will be able to rediscover the complexity of the game: our game tests show that a truly intense battle begins when experienced players that have mastered both roles go against each other.
The First Tsar Ivan the Terrible Board Game + Wooden Token Upgrade
Rp1.260.0002–4 Players
Play Time 90–120 Min
Suggested Age: 12+
The First Tsar: Ivan the Terrible is a thematic sequel to the popular board game Rurik: Dawn of Kiev.
In this board game you will lead the boyar families competing for power and honor in the 16th-century Tsardom of Russia. Over four decades, you’ll collect income from estates and equip troops, trade with foreigners and fortify cities, seek privileges and carry out royal assignments. Use your influence on the tsar, bribe his minions, and perhaps it is your family that will succeed in taking the Russian throne in the next century.
The game is played over four rounds, each one representing approximately a decade of Ivan the Terrible’s reign. At the beginning of each round the players send their boyars to the Kremlin chambers, choosing their actions for the current decade.
Then the players perform the chosen actions:
- receive income from cities;
- place boyars and warriors on the map and move them;
- gain and complete construction, trade and military projects;
- exchange goods;
- acquire new titles and estates.
At the end of the round, the players with the most influence in the four regions receive additional rewards.
An important element of the game is the Tsar’s favor,
which is used to resolve all ties.
At the end of the game, the player with the most victory points wins.
Recall Board Game
Rp1.500.0001–4 Players
Play Time 90 Min
Age: 14+
Recall is a deep strategy game from the designers of Revive that focuses on engine building and exploration. Each player begins the game with one of fourteen unique tribes and one of eighteen unique gadgets, both of which will heavily influence your strategy and opportunities. Throughout the game, you will lead your tribe, explore the lands, and discover traces of ancient civilizations to learn from them. On your turn, you either:
• Use a keycard to activate an action box, or
• Recall to produce resources and regain your keycards.
When you use a keycard, you activate the abilities of the keycard itself and the effects of the chosen action box. The chosen combination of keycard and action box will therefore determine what you get to do on your turn: populate the lands, move your followers, explore new regions, and build workshops, vaults, or monuments. During the game, you will improve your tribe by acquiring new keycards, upgrading your action boxes, or collecting ability stones and relics.
An important part of the game is searching dig sites for traces of ancient civilizations. These sites unlock access to the abilities and gadgets of ancient tribes, in addition to providing important scoring opportunities.
Three times during the game, players must choose one of two paths, with the chosen path providing an immediate bonus, as well as boosting one of the endgame scoring categories.
By using the optional digital companion website, players can archive their tribes at the end of their game, thereby making their tribes discoverable as ancient civilizations in other players’ games.
